for the one whose inner monologue keeps insisting "I'm behind"
Goal
Take one stuck belief and rewrite it into a frame you can act on this week.
Source principle
A stuck belief is a story you can rewrite; trade 'I'm behind' for 'I'm exactly where I am.' : from Designing Your Life by Bill Burnett & Dave Evans.
The plan
- ๐ฃ๏ธ0:00-0:10Name the stuck belief. 'I'm behind in life.' Say it plain.
- โ๏ธ0:10-0:25Write why it feels true. All the evidence. No editing.
- ๐ธ0:25-0:35Write what it costs you. What does believing it make you do or skip?
- ๐๏ธ0:35-0:40Reread. Notice the story. You are not the story.
- ๐0:40-0:55Draft 3 reframes. Different angles. Some will feel fake. Keep going.
- โ
0:55-1:05Pick the reframe you can actually believe. Not the prettiest: the believable one.
- ๐ฃ1:05-1:15Write one action that proves the reframe this week. Calendar it.
- ๐ข1:15-1:30Say the reframe out loud. Three times. Close the page.
