๐Ÿ“…Weekly Priority Review

The One ThingGoal Setters ยท Weekly Review ยท WeeklyMedium

for the one whose weekly review keeps turning into a twenty-item wish list

Goal

End each week by confirming the single priority for next week and clearing the rest off the table.

Source principle

Priority, not priorities: pick one lead domino; a list of equal "priorities" is a wish list in disguise. : from The One Thing by Gary Keller.

The plan

  1. ๐Ÿ“Š
    Fri
Score whether last week's One Thing actually got done. Yes/no.
  2. ๐Ÿ“‹
    Fri
List everything competing for next week. Brain-dump it all.
  3. ๐ŸŽฏ
    Fri
Ask the Focusing Question over that list. Out loud.
  4. โญ•
    Sat
Circle the single priority. Just one. Not two.
  5. ๐Ÿ—’๏ธ
    Sat
Write the priority on a sticky note. One line.
  6. โฐ
    Sat
Schedule the 4-hour block for it. Real slot on the calendar.
  7. ๐Ÿ—„๏ธ
    Sun
File the rest in a 'later' drawer. Close the drawer.
  8. ๐Ÿ“–
    Sun
Read the priority aloud. Close the review.
