The promise
Become the kind of learner who can start from zero in a new domain and produce a real result.
For learners ready to make the system portable. Prove it on a brand-new field by running the whole loop end-to-end.
The sequence
- A New Way to Learn : Before any technique matters, the learner must retire the old 'expose then trust' model. This is the cheapest place to fail, and the cheapest place to win.
- Memory That Stays : New learners lose material in days because they never installed encoding. Memory comes first because everything else depends on something to retrieve.
- Recall and Practice : Once memory is possible, the beginner needs the rhythm that keeps it: retrieval drills, spaced decks, interleaving. This converts 'studying' into 'practising'.
- Self-Direction : By the time the basics run themselves, the learner needs calibration and a journal. These two habits carry the system forward when external structure fades.
- Depth and Understanding : Intermediate learners have basic memory working but cannot yet transfer. Depth converts familiarity into portable skill.
- Difficulty and Deep Work : With depth in place, the learner is ready to organise their attention and routine around the hard parts, and to treat difficulty as a design problem.
- Transfer and Lifelong Learning : The system proves itself only when it travels to a new field. Advanced learners earn the right to call themselves so by running the loop end-to-end on something they have never done.
