for the ones who keep forgetting to even start
Goal
Pick one study habit and make the cue impossible to miss for one week.
Source principle
Make it obvious: design the cue first and the habit follows; lazy brains need the trigger louder than the distraction. : from Atomic Habits by James Clear.
The plan
- ๐ฏ0:00-0:03Pick the one study habit you want (e.g. 5-min flashcards).
- ๐0:03-0:06Choose the cue spot: desk, mirror, fridge, where your eyes land first.
- ๐๏ธ0:06-0:09Write the cue card: 'OPEN THIS โ flashcards'.
- ๐0:09-0:11Tape it directly on the cue spot, eye-level.
- ๐ช0:11-0:13Place the open textbook + pen right under the card.
- ๐0:13-0:15Phone in another room. The cue card is the only trigger now.
- โถ๏ธ0:15-0:17Run it once today: 2 min, then stop.
- ๐0:17-0:20Log: 'cue fired day 1'. Done.
Reward
The cue card stays up. The habit runs itself tomorrow
